SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, TUESDAY, APRIL 01, 2009 AT 2:00 P.M.

Meeting called to order by Council President Perry.

Present: Perry, Henson, Palmer, Harris.

Absent: Thomas.

The meeting was opened with prayer by Councilman Jesse E. Palmer, Sr.

Councilwoman Henson offered and moved the adoption and passage of the following Order:

ORDER #14508 ORDER CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF

GEORGE CULPEPPER AS COMMISSIONER OF ELECTIONS

and, Councilman Palmer seconded the motion, whereupon said Order was discussed, passed and adopted by the Council by a vote as follows:

Yea: Perry, Henson, Palmer, Harris.

Nay: None.

Absent: Thomas.

Councilwoman Henson offered and moved the adoption and passage of the following Order:

ORDER #14509 ORDER CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF

BILL HARPER AS COMMISSIONER OF ELECTIONS

and, Councilman Harris seconded the motion, whereupon said Order was discussed, passed and adopted by the Council by a vote as follows:

Yea: Perry, Henson, Palmer, Harris.

Nay: None.

Absent: Thomas.

There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, the meeting was adjourned. Sine die.
