The staging of the Sunfish Triathlon on Saturday, July 12 will require some closings at Bonita Lakes Park, the site of the event.

 

The boat launch and parking lot area will be closed all day and night on July 11 so set-up for the Saturday event can take place.  After the park closes at 10 p.m. Friday night, the entire park will be closed until approximately 1 p.m. Saturday when the triathlon concludes.  This includes all fishermen, walkers, runners, horse riders and all car and bicycle traffic except triathlon participants and volunteers serving as staff for the event.

 

These closings are necessary in order to ensure a successful and safe Sunfish Triathlon.
