What types of repairs will
World Changers do?
There
are no hard and fast rules. For the
most part, roof replacements (limited height and pitch), handicapped ramps,
floor and ceiling repairs, painting (exterior and
interior), some window and door replacements, and light carpentry work are
what they do best. World Changers
excludes plumbing and electrical work from consideration. No structural repairs are allowed. Once an applicant has been prescreened
for eligibility by the City, the home is evaluated on an individual basis
by World Changers for suitability. World
Changers representatives choose the homes that will receive assistance.
What has World Changers
accomplished in Meridian?
World
Changers has repaired over 140 homes within the City of Meridian since 1998. Between 150 and 200
people come to Meridian
each year to participate in our World Changers project.
Application Information:
Applications
accepted between December 1 and February 1 of each year. Throughout the year we accept
names, addresses, and phone numbers for applicants for the following year’s
project.
