The Arts District Parking Garage was built in 2005. The garage was designed to add to the historical atmosphere of the downtown district. The facility serves as the home for the Community Development Department. Inspection, Planning, and Cultural Affairs are housed on the ground floor, with entrance on 23rd Avenue.
The City offers free parking seven days a week at the garage. While providing free parking for City Hall, downtown merchants, and other institutions, the garage also provides free off-street parking for conferences and cultural events at the MSU Riley Center, Dumont Plaza, and the Temple Theatre.
The parking garage is handicapped-accessible, with two elevators located at the 23rd Avenue entrance. The garage is monitored by security cameras and is protected around the clock by City of Meridian Police Department patrols.
