Our Mission Statement:
Parks and Recreation will strive to provide the citizens of Meridian with impactful and life enhancing programs that foster physical, mental, and emotional well-being, while addressing the need for social, competitive, engaging recreation, sports, and wholesome fun activities.

The Parks and Recreation Department’s goal is to continue offering quality recreational activities and opportunities despite the challenging economic times and budget cuts. Our special events may be scaled down a bit and some of our classes or programs shortened a week or so, but the quality and commitment to excellence will not change.
